Onita and her husband Hal were from Southern California and bought a vacation home in Midpines (area near Mariposa) in 1990 and moved up permanently in 1992. They have bought and built a custom home. They have been working and volunteering in the community ever since they moved here. Hal is a Division Chief with Mariposa County Fire and has a Level ll in fire investigation, Onita has her level l in investigation. Onita has worked extensively in the real estate administration, and has thorough knowledge of Mariposa County from her experiences with Mariposa County Fire and in real estate. She believes that one of the great advantages of living in a rural area is the ability to make a difference through her volunteer experiences. She is a terrific resource both for her knowledge and her skills. Onita's treasures are church, sewing, her four grandchildren, knitting, grandchildren and in her spare time, grandchildren.
